John Obie Gregory (s/o Claiborn Gregory) was my great uncle. John Obie's half brother Emberson Gregory was my granddad.

I'm not sure of the connection, but I know I have/had relatives in both Monticello and Mt. Pisgah. My grandfather was James Shelby Gregory and my grandmother was Frances Clarisse Scott Gregory. If you have any info on my family, please let me know.

Hi,
This Gregory clan arrived in Wayne Co, KY abt. 1803-1805. Several sons branching off with their own families. I've searched my data base for James Shelby and came up with 10 Shelbys and 2 James S. Gregorys. None married to Francis C. Scott, but then I don't have many marriages listed after 1920. Do you have names of James Shelby's parents?

Flemming born 1777

At this point I'm stuck with just my grandparent's names. My grandfather (James Shelby) was also known as Bud. My Grandmother (Frances Clarisse[sp?] was also known as Clara Frances or Frances Clara. I know Frances Clara had relatives in Monticello and I believe in Mt. Pisgah. I don't know from where they came but I believe they migrated to Missouri from Kentucky.
I would think Shelby is a family name but can't be sure. I would appreciate any info on James/Shelby or any combination.
I know this isn't much help but I'm limited in my research to this point.
Thanks for any help.
