There is a burial record for Rye St Mary of 21 April 1613 for Peeter Maisters, Herculons Webe and Robart Alexsander with a note all 3 hanged. Does anyone have any information on their crime or can tell me where to search?

Not firm information but your three do not seem to have all had Kentish names so maybe some were visitors and their crime could have been smuggling.

Many thanks for your reply and the web link.
I have found several entries in the registers for Alexanders so he may be a local man but no sign of the other two surnames.
I have found several other burials after execution and with these there has been a note of the circumstances but this time nothing!

Thanks again
