To Mr. Donald May, would Monclova qualify
as anarea of search for the Galindos you
seek. I have found some information on
relatives from Coahilla, Monclova, but it
appears they moved to San Antonio around
1880. I am searching for the Galindos in
Monclova, Don Severiano Briseno, wife
Antonio Galindo.

Look at my posting on the GenForum on Galindo's. Our Galindo's were in the Morelos, Coahuila in the early 1800's. By the early 1900's some had moved to Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, toward Piedras Negras and also towards San Antonio, TX. a Lot of the folks in the Morelos area did not register their children until 10 to 20 years after they were born. If you will send your e-mail address, 'll send you an attachment with the early Galindos that I have.

My father's name was Juan Manuel Galindo from Morelos Coah., Mex. My grandfather's name was Fortino. Both my grandfather and father are deceased, however, I still have aunts who reside in Morelos Coah., Mex.

I also have an Aunt, Maria Elena, who lives in San Antonio who is originally from Morelos.

Please respond if any of these names sound familiar to you. I am going to ask my family in Morelos if they know the aunt you mentioned.

Thank you.

My grandmothers parents were Pedro Salinas and Santos Galindo. My grandmother's name was Petra Galindo and she was born in Morelos, Coahuila in 1881. How are you related to the Galindos of Morelos, Coahuila.
Looking forward to your reply.

My g-grandfather was named Manuel Monclova, though not sure of the middle name. My grandmother was named after him, Manuela Monclova. My g-grandmother was named Adriana Galindo but that is all that I know about them. I know that my Grandmother had a sister that we used to call Tia Nena. And when my grandmother died she went with one of my grandmother's brothers (back in 1977). I do not know much about my father's family as he was separated from them at an early age. My grandmother was born in Fort Stockton, Texas but she moved around to Eagle Pass, Lubbuck, Del Rio, .... My parents have some pictures that were given to my ggparents and on the back of them they have the names Manuel and Adriana. One of my aunts says that my ggmother's maiden name was Galindo. She was supposed to be an Indian from Mexio. My father says that he remembers that his grandfather was full Indian but he never knew what kind. My grandmother had a brother named Felix and I believe one named Jose. Other than the names of my ggparents, Tia Nena and the two brother's that is all I know about the family. My Aunt and I are trying to find out the rest. It sounds like we are related and that would be WONDERFUL!!!! if we were. I believe there is another lady out there that is looking for the same grandparents/ggrandparents that I am. Do you have any other information. You may Email me directly if you like. THANK YOU!!! :>) Terry
