We have traced back this particular line of Porsche Gaillard to the French Hugenot Revolution. Also are the Founding Fathers of America. Settled in the Carolina's and after the civil war - South Carolina. Trying to see how far back we can go. Have found back to 1300's in France. Thanks for any help!

Dear Evelyn,

I am working with others to construct a
family tree of the Gaillards. So far, I have
only been able to go back as far as Jean
Gaillard, born 1555. If you can help me, I can
help you. I have a rather large document in
Word (3636 kb) of our "tree" going back to
this time. If you can help me fill in the gaps
to the fourteenth century, maybe I can connect
to the French Templars of A.D. 1114 and (earlier)
Godfroi de Boullion when he carried our
standard of Lorraine into Jerusalem in
A.D. 1099.

Can you upload Word.doc attachments?

Thanks and regards,

Bill Gaillard
Redondo Beach, CA

P.S. I'll show you mine when you show me
yours.

Please retry contacting me. I am new at this. The records I have on the Gaillard family (cousins to the DuBose) out of the Carolinas has been handed down in the family. Mr great aunt is currently a member of the French Hugenot Society. I would like to trade info you may have. Thanks
