My great-grandmother, Katharine Elizabeth Arn, born around 1867 (place, date unk.) married Alfred Rice Gardner (place date unk.). She died in 1938 at about age 68. She had 6 children: Lloyd Warren Gardner b. 4/28/1895 m.Ferne Marie Johnson; Florence G. Bopp b. 1/6/97, m. Bernard Bopp, 2 children James (my father) and H. Jane; Ruth Helen Jensen b. 11/5/98 m. Wolmer, 6 children; Alfred Paul Gardner b. 10/6/00, m. Edith Walker?, 3 sons 2 daughters; Harold Gardner b. 6/8/03, m. Ruth Cochran, 1 son; Roy Gardner, b. 5/12/06, m. Ann, 3 sons, 2 dtrs. My question is: does anyone have any information on Katharine E. Arn? I cannot find any ancestry on her at all. Thank you. K. Holden

I found such a person listed in the 1900 Philadelphia Census. Don't know if it's the same one or not, but that's somewhere you might look.

Hi there! And thank you so much for sharing what you've found on her. It will reduce my researching up the wrong tree, as we also have a Katherine (Katie) Arn in our family and so far, I've found not a thing on her.

I have been rudely awakened by the number of different ARN branches there are in this country, after having lived most of my life believing our family of Arn's were the only ones. We're certainly dad just moved way far away from the rest of them! Our ancestors appear to have clustered around Arnheim, Ohio and the Maysville, Ky areas. But I've just learned my grandfather, Dr. Fred Arn, took off for Illinois and lived there until he died in 1940.

Thanks again for your information on Katherine!

My grandmother is Clara Elizabeth Arn, a sister to Katherine Elizabeth Arn, your great-grandmother. I have a 10 page chart on the descendants of Adam Arn Sr that I will share with you. You are included in the chart as a child. However, I don't have any Holden info.
I also have several generations of the Schoenhals going back to Germany, including picture and certificates.

I retired from Brigham Young University Library Jan 2000. I am just getting back into genealogy after three surgeries last year. Please email an address so that I can send you what I have or GED it to you.

I have no other info on the schoenhals other than what is on the website. That's a branch that is a couple of limbs away from my immediate family and was not able to find much info about them.

I have never run across a record for Carl. Sorry.
