SHREVEPORT, LA- Mrs. Harriett Love Yancey died in Shreveport, LA on August 1, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral Home on Sunday, August 3, 2003 from 6 until 8 p.m. Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2003 at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave. Officiating will be Dr. Pat Day of First United Methodist Church. Harriett was a native of Emerson, AR. and a resident of Shreveport for most of her life. She received her B.S. degree from Centenary College and her Masters from The University of Arkansas. She was the owner of Carroll Lumber Co. in Shreveport and owner of Coby Dude Ranch in Washburn, MO. Harriett was an outstanding teacher along with her other talents. Harriett was preceded in death by her parents W.C. and Ethel Yancey; husbands, John T. Carroll Jr. and Andy Atanacio; son John T. Carroll III and brother W.C. Yancey, Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Gloria Carroll Cook, Laura Atanacio Edington and Anita Atanacio Beasley; two sisters, Martha Yancey Koelemay and Carolyn Yancey Smith and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.Osborn Funeral Home
