OBITUARY printed in the Stevens Point Daily Journal October 20, 1977


Funeral services for Mrs. Anastasia Wisniewski, 87, 1501 Main St., will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Mullen will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bronislava's Cemetery, Plover. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Shuda Funeral Chapel. The Third Order of St. Francis, St. Stephen's Church, of which she was a member, will combine with the general rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Wisniewski was born March 30, 1890, in Plover, a daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs, Andrew Wietryzkowski, She attended St. Bronislava's school. She married Vincent Wisniewski on June 11, 1907, at St. Bronislava's Church. The couple lived in the Whiting-Polver area until his death in 1954. She then moved to Stevens Point and had lived with her son, Chester, since 1974.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph, Neenah, and Chester, 1501 Main St.; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Benson, San Francisco; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Nordbye, 2325 East Ave.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two sons, four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

I am looking for Eva (Veronica?) Wisniewski--- b. 1844 in Germany/Poland and died in 1900. She married John Cwiklinski. Eva’s children were Joseph, Louis, Anthony, and Veronica(Eva). Her son John lived in Cleveland, Ohio.
