Yancey, all of Newport News; three grandchildren, Richard of Washington, D.C., Christopher of China and David of Newport News; sister-in-law, Marie Y. Hughes of Newport News; and two nieces, Terry Jackson and Lori Williams, both of Gloucester. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, at Peninsula Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted by Father James Guttendorf at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, at Peninsula Memorial Park. The family especially wishes to thank all of the nurses and staff of the ICU unit at Riverside Regional Medical Center for their many kindnesses and tireless assistance.

In the early 50's, while attending the circus in DC with who I believed to be my father at the time (J.F.Kennedy), I first was introduced to J.P.Yancey and Eloise. Later, under another name in 1973 while in the Army at Ft. Eustis, I was reintroduced to this remarkable woman. We became friends, and she tried everything she could to foster my memory of the past. Naturally, I resisted all her aid, my irish pride! Now that you are gone Eloise: Please know how my heart truly sorrows over our loss of you! Please know I now truly appreciate what help you offered me. Please know, as we last spoke in the1990's, again you were right "This world has gone to Hell". Your truth, your goodness and your soul will surely not be in the same place. LOVE to You Forever, and please tell Mac, (your mom) I said Hi! God rest in Peace, J Patrick Kennedy
