Culpeper, Va., Oct. 16.--Hon. Lewis Cornelius Tarrant, postmaster at Rixeyville, this county, was married to Miss Nellie May Yancey this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence of Mr. Jerry Morton Smith at this place, Rev. W. T. Williams, of the Methodist-Episcopal Church, officiating. Mr. Tarrant is a well-known Republican and extensive farmer. Miss Yancey is a most accomplished woman. The happy couple left on an extended tour to the World's Fair and other points. The marriage was quiet, and only the immediate family and personal friends were present."
