Surnames: Ronna, Ranno
My mother is a Milardo, born in USA, her parents emigrated fromn Melilli to the Hartford, Connecticut area in the early 1900's. My fathers family also emigrated from Melilli. I believe that his father's last name may have been Ranno, or Rano, before being changed to Ronna when entering USA in early 1900's. Does anyone know of any Ronna's or Ranno's?

Thanks, John.

My message posted today, 1/14/01 tells about my father,
Sebastiano DiMauro, born in 1898 in Melilli, Sicily.
The name Gugliemino, also appears in my great grandparents
marriage record. My father's grandmother, Sebastiana Rafala, has her mother's name listed as Luigia Gugliemino
(or Guglielmino), born about 1816 and her father as
Sebastiano Rafala, born about 1811. The record is a little
difficult to read.
