I am interested in info on Robert Lester and family. He left St Clair Co in 1891. He owned land northwest of Gerster. Did he come after the civil war and what outfit did he serve with. He is listed in 1890 soldiers and sailors census as having served as a Pvt in ______8th Cav.
and post office was listed as Collins.

to DM Elliott,, thank you so much for your response....
Robert Lester and family went to Indian Terr 1891(Pott Co Okla)
the younger children and his second wife went with him.
Anna H. Lester buried in Macedonia Ceme. is the daughter of
Worth. Robert's children were Oscar, Lones, Worth, Ida, Mark, Robert, Mary by his first wife, Susan Cline who died in 1877. Robert married Mary N. Fraley in 1882 and they had
three children, Edmon, Lafe and Seney Delilah. Mary Melissa
Fraley was the daughter of Edmon Fraley who died in St. Clair, Co in 1880 and Seney Dickson who died in St. Clair Co in 1890. Lonas and Ida stayed in the Gerster area and Lonas later went to Neb. All of the other children ended up
in Okla. We believe that Robert went to Mo in 1869 from Kty but there is reason to believe that it was not the first time he had lived in Mo. Again, thanks, every little clue
helps. De
