Seaborn L. Ward (b. abt. 1811) married Matilda Stewart (b. abt. 1812) in August 1832 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. I have found information on Tax Rolls and Census Pages that the family lived in Choctaw County, MS, from at least 1835 to 1870. While there, they had children : James (b. abt 1835), Benjamin Franklin (b. abt 1838), Mary (b. abt. 1841), Nancy (b. abt. 1844), and William (b. abt. 1845).
I am looking for any information about the children and their descendants.
Thank you very much for any help.

I am researching this family for a friend. It appears that son James T. Ward migrated to Yazoo County, MS where he appears on the 1880 census in the community of Free Run. Records indicate he married Mary Rogers in Yazoo County in 1873 and her sister Susan in 1881 (Susan is on the 1880 h'hold census). He must have died before 1900 because Susan (Susie) Ward can be found, listed as widow, with 4 children in Lafayette County, MS. His children (per census records) were: [unknown) 1st wife] Heny 1862, Joe ("Eddie" is crossed out) 1864, Tom 1866; [Mary Rogers 2nd wife] William Seaborn 1876, Annie aka Lula 1878, James 1880; [Susan Rogers 3rd wife] Mary E. 1882, and Cora L. 1887. Susie reported 8 children of whom 6 were living in 1900. It seems reasonable she was reporting ALL children of whom James T. Ward was the father. Hope this helps. If you have any further background of Seaborn L. Ward I'd like to know.

I am researching this family. I found a grave of Etta Virginia with all of my Ward family in the Rocky Springs Baptist Church. Do you know who this is?

James Thomas Ward was my 3x Great Grandfather. I believe the unknown first wife of James Ward was Virginia J. Campbell. Their children were named Henry J Ward 1861, Thomas Franklin Ward 1863, And Joseph Edward Ward 1864. Also, I believe that Seaborn Lawrence Ward's parents were named William Thomas Ward 1786-1854, and Sarah Elizabeth Ross 1794-1880. Sarah Elizabeth Ross may have been full blood Cherokee.
