I'm searching for Charles Valley who was married to Mary C. Lee(born/LA) and whose son was Captain Christopher C. Valley who was also born in Plaquemines, LA.

Charles Valley
B. between 1800- 1815, Plaquemines, LA (I'm guessing.)
D. in/bef. 1870, he doesn't show up in the census with Mary
M. in/before Dec 1838 when Christopher was born

Per Captain Christopher C. Valley's obit, "his father before him had naturally taken to seafaring life and only gave it up when his vessel went to the bottom".

I'd like to find out more about Charles, Mary, Christopher and any other children.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you.

If this is any help. I'm quite sure my great grandfather was Capt. Christopher Valley. His son, my grandfather was Robert Adolph Valley. Not 100% on the middle name Adolph. My Grandfather had 9 children with Florence Normand-Valley and was killed in the years around 1917-1919. One of my cousins had researched archives for a the story of the Capt. This was about 25 years ago. I could get some of the career educators and archivists in my family to possibly provide more.

Hi Brian,

I am Henrietta Valley Werner's granddaughter. I have a Conner Family tree here at ancestry which includes the Valley family. I will send you an invitation to see the tree. If our family educators/archivists can help with adding more information that would be wonderful.
