Let me start at the beginning....I have very little information before my grandfather(Roy Spielvogel). I know his mothers name was Rosa Spielvogel who had 3 sisters, Ruth Spielvogel, Laura Spielvogel, and after many years have JUST learned of a 3rd sister Mayme Spielvogel who married a Fenske in Wisconsin(Green Lake County I believe). Mayme parents were Gustav Spielvogel and Louise Ida Haas. I am hoping that there might be a Fenske relative of Mayme that (Praying) might have had some info past down to them about her sister Rosa and the details of the father of my Grandfather. I have recently learned that his fathers name was W. H. Harris. That is all we know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have just begun to search my relatives and noticed your request of about 3 yrs. ago. I hope you have obtained the info you were looking for and maybe I can add a bit to it.
Gust Spielvogel (12 Oct. 1862 to 29 Dec. 1932) was a brother to my grandfather, Richard George Spielvogel of Manchester, Green Lake Cty, WI. Gust & Louise Ida Haas had three daughters: Laura, Mayme & Rose. I do not have birth or death dates for them.
Rose had a son, Roy Wilbur Spielvogel, apparently out of wedlock. As you state, the father was W.H.Harris, I think he had a dance orchestra. Roy also had an orchestra under the name of Roy Stevens. Roy married Alice Buschman of Sheboygan, WI. she was member of the Chordets, a gals barbershop group that was quite popular in the 1950's and appeared on TV, made recordings, etc. They had a son Roy Albert and daughter, Cary.

Mayme (Fenske) Spielvogel, Laura (Wilke) Spielvogel, Rosa (Albee) Spielvogel were great-aunts that I knew well growing up around Manchester. One of their brothers, Oscar Spielvogel, was my grandfather. I believe that Gus and Ida had 9 children. Laura, Rosa, another sister, Ruth, and their mother Ida are buried in the Manchester Cemetary, along side Mayme and her husband William. Oscar is also buried there, and many other relatives. Roy and Alice had 3 children, Terry, Roy Jr. and Ruth. Ruth was around my age and we saw each other about once a year. Mayme and Bill had two children, Floyd and Mildred. Floyd passed away a few years ago. Mildred is 95 and still living in Beaver Dam. Floyds wife is Viola, and is still alive. They had a large family. We all grew up in the same area, so lots of memories. I can be reached at: selco7448@gmail.com if you want more info.
