Looking for any information on Logues in county Londonderry. My ancestors Jeremiah Logue and Ellen (McKiever) Logue left Londonderry in 1834 for Saint John, New Brunswick. They had one son with them, James, born the previous year (1833). Jeremiah may have had a brother or cousin William who came to New Brunswick before him.

I am trying to make a connection to Ireland and find out where my great grandfather was born. He was a twin. Served in the Civil War. Michael (my ggfather) and twin Edward McKeever arrived in the USA in 1842 and settled in Philadelphia. They left Ireland from Londenderry.

My grandmothers maiden name was Anne Margaret Logue. She was from Londonderry Ireland, came to Canada in 1912, with her sister Meta and her grandmother, Anne Cunningham. She was very small when they came over by boat. Her mother Anne (nee, Cunningham) Logue, died giving birth to my grandmother. As far as I know- her father, I believe his name was Thomas Logue, stayed behind in Londonderry. My grandmother has never really talked about her fathers side of the family ....therefore I don't have much to go by. Any information would certainly be appreciated.

It appears we have mutual ancesters. I don't know any more than you do about Jeremiah and Eleanor but I would be very interested in corresponding with you to see if there is any other info we can share.

I am researching descendants of Jeremiah and Ellen Logue, who arrived at Saint John, New Brunswick in 1834. I have followed them for four generations in Saint John. Please respond if this reaches you. Cheers.

You are, like all genealogists I have ever met, a wonderfully generous person to do this, just 'coz you like to help. ALL genealogists are so wonderful. I think it just comes with the territory. Thank you so much. And cheers from Canada.
