Seeking Angus John McKINNON born circa 1837 in Scotland (birthplace unknown), died Nova Scotia before 1901. Do you have any of these given names in your South Uist families in the early 1800s?

Joe, Any connection to Archibald MacKinnon "Red Archie" who married Marion MacDonald, Barra, Scotland, 1815. They settled in Bouladerie, Nova Scotia and had 5 children. I do not know yet what ship or year they traveled from Scotland. Looks like approx. 1820.
Thanks, Susan

We have Charles and son John who came on the Alexander. John had about 12 children - one was a Peter. My ancestor was another brother, Donald. I have been to LDS library recently and looked at a film PEI Deaths - found these:

Peter MacKinnon burial date 20 Feb 1887, St. Peters
Mrs. Peter MacKinnon burial date 5 Nov 1892, St. Peters
Peter MacKinnon burial date 20 Jan 1894, St. Peters
