Looking for any info on Marion Cutler who was born about 1912. Would like to know the names of her parents and siblings. I know she worked in Brighton and had 2 children she gave both up for adoption. Her 1st child was John Joseph Cutler born August 16, 1931 at Saint Mary's Hospital when she was 19. No father of child listed but the father was John Guzzi. Marion Cutler in 1931 lived at 7 Delaware Place in Boston,MA acccording to her sons birth certificate. She also had a daughter a few years later before 1940 while working as a domestic w/a family who was a furrier in Boston area. She had an affair w/the furrier's son (name unknown) and they adopted the baby girl out to a prominent family in New York who owned lots of bakeries. Any help on Marion Cutler and relatives would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all your help. Do you have access to any of teh Massachusetts directories? I am looking to find out where Marion Cutler worked and lived after 1931-1940 so maybe I can pin point who she had her daughter with. She adopted a daughter out between 1931-1940 the child was the product of an affair she had w/a furrier's son??? At a loss.....

The census records for her family are as follows. The 1930 sheet shows the family on Delaware too so this looks like an excellent fit.

Year 1920;Census Place Boston Ward 25, Suffolk, Massachusetts; Roll T625_741; Page 6A; Enumeration District 585; Image 100.

Year 1930; Census Place Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts; Roll 959; Page 5B; Enumeration District 627; Image 210.0.

Year 1930; Census Place Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts; Roll 959; Page 6A; Enumeration District 627; Image 211.0.

Contact me off-line and I'll email you the actual census sheet images.

The 1920 census records show her father George F. b Mass about 1885. There is a good NEHGS birth record match for him (vol 360 pg 208), George Francis Cutler b. May 18 1885 in Boston. Parents George W. and Catherine. George W. was a driver, and born in Brighton; Catherine was born in Ireland.

The 1900 census for this family is at (Year: 1900; Census Place: Boston Ward 25, Suffolk, Massachusetts; Roll: T623 689; Page: 20A). Son Geo F b May, father Geo b in Mass., mother Katherine b in Ireland. The census show the parents married 17 years. So, looking for the marriage record 17 years prior to 1900...

NEHGS has the marriage record for George W and Catherine, full name Catherine Fagan, 3 Oct 1883 in Boston. His parents are Henry W. and Ellen, her parents are Hugh and Elizabeth.

In turn the marriage record for Henry W. and Ellen Center is at NEHGS, 18 Apr 1857, Bedford. His parents are Thomas and Maria; her parents are Rodney and Betsy.

Again, contact me off-line for copies of these documents.

Happy hunting,

I'm trying to piece back together my family history (wishing I'd written down things I was told when I was younger, though they were limited), and I think Marion was my my grandmother's sister. Have you found more information?
