I have Hetty as follows: Esther Hetta (Hetty) Barnett was born in Mason county, WVA (VA ) March 9, 1820. She was married to Sylvester Greenlee on Jan.25, 1838 in Pt. Pleasant WV ( at that time-VA) They moved to Jefferson county, Iowa in 1850 where they stayed until 1852. They then moved to Wayne county, Iowa on a farm 5 miles from Corydon, IA. They lived there until1880. They moved to Promise City, IA. She had 15 children, 9 of whom were still living in 1894. She was a Baptist. She had an illness for more than 3 months, from which she died. She died in Dec. 19, 1894 at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 10 dyas. She is buried in Promise City Cemetery, Wayne County, Iowa.

This info is from the Wayne County Democrat, Corydon, IA dated Dec.27, 1894. Found this in a book Supplement to Wayne County, Iowa Cemeteries published in 1992.

Any info you have on the Greenlees would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Becky

I have someone in my data who might be your Sylvester's sister. Elizabeth Greenlee, of Mason Co., VA, married Harvey Reynolds in 1829. Harvey was a brother of my great-great-grandmother, Leah Reynolds, who married Bartholomew Fort. It appears that your Sylvester is about the same general age as Elizabeth, in the same county. Hope this helps, somehow!

I saw that you were looking for information regarding Esther Hetty (or Hetta) Barnett? She is a relative of mine through her daughter Elizabeth Margaret Greenlee. I was trying to find out if there was any information regarding her parents? If you had any information I would greatly appreciate any help! Thank you! Alleine
