I don't have the information you requested but I wanted to know if you have found anything on this family. I have a Joanna or Johanna O'Carroll from Tipperary, Ireland born about 1668 and died 1763 in Maryland. She married Joshua Howard.

My grandfather,Patrick O'Carroll, was born at 4,Patrick Street,Kilkenny,Ireland in 1888.His eldest son,my father Patrick, inherited the hardware business built up during the early part of the 20th.century.My cousin,Martin O'Carroll,is a lawyer in Kilkenny and we have many cousins so the family is still very much alive!

Kind Sir,
I see of course that "your" O'carrolls are from Killnenny. Mine
is Joanna who married Joshua Howard and mentioned among
the replies to this message. However; since we could be
cousins and you still have folks living on the sod. I wondered if
you could give me any pointers into finding who my Joanna
O'Carroll's parents, or anscestors are. Joanna's family seems
to be from Tipperarry.

Thanks
Sherrie

I have recently discovered a Catherine (Known as Kitty)Carroll in my family tree. She married a Bachmann.Other German families into which the Carrolls (more correctly, O'Carrolls) married were Viebroch(k?) and Schlosser.
Our common ancestor was Thomas Carroll who came to Kilkenny city from the North of the county or even from County Laois ( formerly Queen's County during British occupation) and was a stucco plaster artist by trade.

No idea if this may help! I have found a Kitty Carroll in my history. I have her father as William Carroll born 1-6-1851 and her mother is listed as Mary. His brother is Thomas who was born 4-28-1859. I know their father was Patrick D. Carroll of Tipperary Co, Ireland. I'm not sure but I think they were born here in the states.

I have a Patrick O'Carroll born in Canada. His father was James O'Carroll born in Armagh, Northern Ireland around 1765. Could they be relatives of yours? The line stops at James and I would love to find more information about him and his family.

Hey Patrick - what happened to the thread we were posting on? Or was that genealogy.com? Oh well, I've been concentrating on my Russian/Prussian ancestors for awhile and have been neglecting the Irish. When I get my new computer, I'll post some pictures of Catherine O'Carroll and Fred Bachmann and Catherine's bro Jeremiah.
