Suzanne, you seem to know a lot about the Dennard tree. I am curious if you know anything about a John Edward Dennard. He was my grandfather. He died before I was born and I don't know anything about him. His wife, my grandmother, also died before I was born--her name was Myrtle Belle Wilkie. They were from Georgia, near Atlanta, I think. But they moved to Hampton, VA when they were young newlyweds.

How do you find out so much? Thanks for your help!

Hi Kacie, I really don't know that much but my mother is Sybil Amanda Denard and I have been working on her line for about three years now. My own grgrandfather was Edward Carl Dennard. I know about the line that was in Atlanta. I believe the progenitor of that line was a Wiley Floyd Dennard. From what I think I know there were three sons of a Thomas Dennard (1770)Colonial Census Index for America in Tryon County, NC, John, Jacob, and William (they also had a sister named Sarah or Mary Sarah who married a William Abbott. All three Dennard brothers were RS from S.C. and all three moved into Georgia. Jacob (Jack) Dennard is your line I believe and a good deal of research has been done on him. Your grandfather John Edward Dennard could probably found in Fulton County, Ga. records. keep in touch. suzanne

Thanks

Hi Sandy, Have many William Dennard's in data. Don't have one that married a Harrell and moved to Alabama that was born ca 1800. I do have Dennard families that moved to Alabama though I haven't done alot of research on them. Perhaps I do know of someone who might be able to help though. Later,
Suzanne
