My parents Orvin and Pauline Potter Schoville, are both from Crawford Co. My grandparents were Pearl and Eliza Ward Schoville & Floyd and Merle Wilkinson Potter. I have a LOT of information on these families, if anyone is interested. I have the Schoville tree back to 1194; the Ward name to 1603, and other grandparents, from the Ward tree to 12th century England. Any inquiries are welcome.

I am interested in information on the WARD family that lived in Reidstown in Vernon Co. and possibly Soldiers Grove in Crawford Co.
I am looking for information about Arthur WARD born in 1881 who married Matilda DRAKE. And about Arthur's parents James Homer Ward and Amanda HALE. James b. 2 feb 1845. Only 2 children lived to adulthood Arthur and Albert, James married Dora Crumine in 1908 and died in 1910.

I have a Minnie Scoville who married a Lorenzo Haskins, also have a Betty Ward who married a Dale Curtis. A Ronnie Ward who married Ethel Curtis and had a son Grant Curtis. Are any of these names familiar? These families are all from Crawford County and are related to the Kast family. Any assistance is appreciated in finding info on their parents. Thank you in advance.

I didn't find any Minnie Scoville, Curtis's or Ronnie Ward in my tree. But I have a Kast. It goes as follows:
Warren Schoville m. Rachel Singles
James 1866-1949 m. Rachel Kelly
Henry Harrison 1879-1962 m. Carrie Shaw
Harvey 1882-1958 m. Martha L. Kast

Harley, Mary, Schelley, Otto, Alma, Naomi, Elinor, Vivian, Esther, Letha, Opal, Mary
PERL ALBERT 1885-1941 m. ELIZ ANN WARD 1889-1968

Fred, Archie, Freda, Dorvin, Dorothy, Harrison, Geraldine, Warren, ORVIN
Ther person with the Kast info would be Keith N. Schoville son of Harley Schoville. He also does research on this branch and we fill each other's empty spaces in at the family reunion. I will have to get his address and pass this info on for him.

I checked with my parents on these names. I didn't have anything in the tree, but Dad said that their is another Ward family in the Readstown, Soldiers Grove area that is not related. At least they haven't found a connection.
Sorry, but they do know some of the descendants and will do some checking for me.

Pearl Ward is from a different Ward branch. There were 2 William Wards in Soldiers Grove, but they were not related. William Oscar Ward was from the Wards from Boscobel(Edwin and Edgar Ward family) and from out east in Massachusetts (English). The other William Ward was a postmaster of Soldiers Grove and he was from Michael Ward. Michael Ward and his brother Thomas, I understand came from Ireland, because of the Irish potato famine. According to a book that I have that was written by Wm Ward, not my relation, they lived in Illinois then on to the Kickapoo Valley. The same book says that Roy Randall was a rural postal carrier.

The book is titled "The First 100 Years A History of Soldiers Grove" Published June 1964 W.M. Ward Author; Edward W. Herbst, Publisher; Marlie W. Barlow Research & Reproduction of Photographic Material. I borrowed it from my Dad, O.R.Schoville
