Please connect me to your Maryland Researchers. I have extrapolated connection back to Samuel, But am very confused about his wife/wives and lineage going back from him/them. I want to make sure I have the right descendancy before I publish to my immediate family, the history I've collected to date. THANKS.

Hi. I'm descended from abraham lemaistre b1637/39,St Mary's,MD? married to Elizabeth ??b1639 St Mary's,MD and they lived in "Betty's Delight" (don't know if the place was named after her but no issue on her in the lemaster book.An Alice Cooksey b1639 and married abt 1658 to Abraham.Another source indicated Elizabeth Alice Cooksey. Are they one and the same person? I think so. Alice Cooksey is the mother of Sarah Lemaster married John or Justinian Tennison from England and had a daughter named Christian married first Samuel Cooksey.

Marc, Recommend that you contact both Tim Thomas at and Carol Molen at They have more information on the Lemaster Cooksey lines and are always willing to share. I'm not sure if they already have the Lemaistre-Lemaster connection but how interesting! Thanks for sharing!

I have replied to you before. Samuel is confusing but I'll give you what I have on him.
Samuel b. before 1653 d. 1708. 1st wife Christian Tennison date unk. b. and d. illegible on record I possess. They had 3 children: Ellizabeth b. 1694; Samuel b. 1700; and Mary b. 1702. There was a 2nd marriage(wife;s name unk.) and as best as I can tell There were 5 children from that marriage. They were:
John LeMaster b. ? d. after 1740; Justinian b. 1696; John 1701Priscilla and William 1702(twins???) . I do have ?'s concerning LeMaster. I can't quite tell the link there. THe notes I have say 2nd by his name and he isn't listed in the next branch of the tree as a child of Samuel. J.L. Cooksey has a better handle on this information than I as he has been researching this since the late 50's. His addy follows:

If you find out anything let me know.
