Ocala - Everett Turner, 94, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010. Everett was born on October 3, 1915 in Altro, Kentucky. Everett was the son of Alex and Bertha (Parker) Turner. He was a devout Christian and served his church in numerous leadership roles. Everett served as a federal judge for the Department of the Interior and he was honored as a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by a brother, Hobert; three sisters: Geneva, Mary, and Mima Jean; three daughters: Susan Turner, Shirley (James) Stump, and Joyce Estep; 9 grandchildren: Debra (Dale) Tipton, Michael King, William Hammock, Charles Lee, Todd Lee, Leesa (Kenney) Gordon, Heidi (Bob) Ragar, and Shane Estep; 19 great grandchildren; and 6 great, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Alex and Bertha; four brothers: Edward, Herbert, Silas, and Monroe; three sisters: Bernice, Ida, and Susan; two daughters, Marjorie (William) Hammock and Mildred (Dub) Ingle, a son, Charles Monroe, and two grandsons, Steven Hammock and Richard King. Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens & Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Ave., Ocala, FL 34480. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 pm. Everett will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens & Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Ave., Ocala, FL 34480.
