I am looking for my Great Grand Father, Patrick Carroll, from Cork, Ireland. He left Ireland in 1847, enroute to Newfoundland, his wife died on board ship prior to reaching Newfoundland. He remarried a Ms, Bishop, from Port de Grave, Newfoundland, had two sons, Patrick and William, William was my Grand Father, they lived inFoley;s Hill, near Brigus, Newfoundland. My Grand Father was born in Foley's Hill in May 1862. He married a Emma Brynes from Springfield. My father Patrick F. Carroll, was born inFoley's Hill, on 31 Dec 1899.

Hello, my Carroll's came around the same time line to newfoundland, Thomas Carroll settled in St. John's married Elizabeth O'Malley /Mealy.. abt 1850.would you know if they are connected? This branch of the family moved to Halifax N.S.
