I am looking for information on my great, great grandfather, John Dervin, who emigrated from County Roscommon, Ireland to Herkimer County, New York, sometime in the late 1830's. I am also researching my great grandfather, William Edward Dervin, born March 19, 1840, at Bradford, near Utica, Herkimer County. Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

My name is John Rooney. I am in St. Louis. My great, great grandmother was Margaret Jane Dervin. Her father was John Dervin. Her mother was Margaret Dervin. They were from Ireland. I believe they arrived at the port in New York and settled in Pennsylvania, where Margaret Jane was born. John was killed by Indians and the family moved to Wisconsin. William E. Dervin born 1840 in New York was my great, great grandmother's brother. I have a lot of information on the Rooney-Dervin family tree. Contact me as it appears we are related.

Brian, you are the gr gr grandson of Joseph HC Kipp and Eleanor Matilda Van Meter EVANS Kipp. I am trying to untangle them -- so you have any info on what happened to Joseph HC Kipp and the next marriages and I think divorces of EleanorÉ

Thanks, Much!

Mary (gr gr grandaughter also of Joseph HC Kipp)
