Nicholas Frost Born Tiverton-Devon on July 30,1585. Records are in the library at Exeter
Devon, England. Nicholas probably had two sons. I am related to Major Charles Frost, (son of Nicholas) B. 1631. Killed by indians in 1697 at Ambush Rock Eliot, Me.He had 10 children. I can trace the whole famnily to the present day.

Hi vivian: thanks for replying and the additional information. i have nicholas's birthday as 4-25-1585 and death 7-20-1663. if he had two sons and one was charles then the other was Major John Frost who i am decended from. i can't seem to connect who was who after him. also is there a "Bacon" in there somewhere? There was also a William Frost of Perry and a General John Frost who was one of Washington's general in the rev. war. Also do you know anything about Wellington Frost who was in the calvary in the civil war and is buried in pembroke? Look forward hearing from you again. donna

Donna Don't know anything about the protocol of family history. I've had mine for several years as my step-mother gave it to me. I have researxhed back two more generations into England. That's it.It looks to me that John and Nicholas were brothers therefore my branch would not include the children of John. I am a descendent of Nicholas whose son was Charles and came to Maine in the early 1600's--not on the Mayflower. Charles was a major and killed by Indians on his way home from church. My E-Mail is mji373@mediaone.net. Vivian

I am a direct descendant of Charles Frost of Kittery, ME. I recognized the reference to Ambush Rock. I have seen a book on the Frost family but have lost track of who has it. I have traced back to Simeon Frost Sr. who died in 1791 in Jessamine Co. Ky but then have a gap back to Charles. Can you help?

Yes, We must be talking about the same family line. Can you fill in my gap from Charles to Simeon Frost, Sr. and Simeon Frost, Jr? Simeon, Sr. died and was buried in Jessamine County, KY and Simeon Jr. died somewhere in Kansas on his way to the California gold rush. I have information from there on. I am daughter of Frank Shawhan Frost, born in Lone Jack, MO. Annie
