I wanted to write to you because I to have many Brocious, Brosious, Brosius family in my Bitler tree research from Schuylkill & Luzerne County and there is a possibility your's and mine intersect somewhere.

The marriage license for Edna is located in the Schuylkill County Archives: Marriage Book 69-285, 1911-1930, Edna Mae Brosius, George H Seitzinger. This record will probably confirm what I have found below.

I do have a Cordelia Horn married to a Henry Cyrus (Harry) Brocious and I have that there were several children to this marriage, but not an Edna that I am aware of:

Guy Walter Brosius, Helen May Brosius, Amos Dewes Brosius (b. 3 Mar 1902), Neda Sophia Brosius (b. 24 Nov 1903), Carrie LaRue Brosius (b. 13 May 1905), Grace Luellen Brosius (b. Nov 1911), Ruth Gertrude Brosius (b. 30 Aug 1915).

I did some checking, and believe this is your Edna Brocious in the 1920 Census for Frackville. I've followed this family back another generation through the 1880 Census.

Looks like Edna's parents were George B and Catharine Brocious. George B Brocious' parents were George and Mary Brocious.

The following do not format well on the message board, but should be of use to you.

I forgot to add that the following marriage records also is indexed for Schuylkill County:

Likely to be Edna's Parents:
4-3447 1885-1910
Horn, Catharine P. (Female)
Brosius, George B. (Male)

there is also

5-8078 1885-1910
Horn, Emma E. (Female)
Brosius, John A. (Male)

It would seem that these two families were very close.

Thanks again Glenn. I'm going to the courthouse and historical society in Pottsville in the near future (was gonna go this weekend but my honey-do list got in the way). I have a TON of research to do on the Seitzinger line for a ceremony on June 3rd for James Monroe Seitzinger. He earned a Medal of Honor in the Civil War and the ceremony will be to place a memorial plaque on his grave in Fountain Springs.

The Brosius marriage certificates are high on my list of things to get while I'm there.

It DOES look like the Horns and the Brosiuses were pretty close. I'll be on the lookout for more info on the family to tie them all together.

Thanks again for all the help.
