Cassandra Parkins was b.9/22/1808, Edgefield Dist., SC, and was married to Felix Rogers, son of Daniel Rogers, Jr., in Edgefield Dist., SC, circa 1825. Possible father for Cassandra is Milton Parkins (sometimes spelled Perkins)and Catherine Butler, but more likely that this Milton Parkins was her brother. Was another earlier Milton Parkins her father? Any help is greatly appreciated! Godspeed...Dolores Pringle, GGG-G'daughter of Cassandra Parkins Rogers, email at dpringles@aol.com

Since I posted the above, please note the email address change. (DMPringle727680@aol.com)

Also, I found in the 1860 Census of Pickens Co.,SC, that Cassandra PARKINS ROGERS stated that she was born in Newberry Co., SC. She was married in Edgefield Dist., SC, to Felix ROGERS. She, Elizabeth PARKINS and Milton PARKINS are mentioned as heirs in the will of Thomas PETERSON in Edgefield Dist., SC, abt. 1826.
Your help is appreciated!
Godspeed...

I am searching for any information on the family of Daniel Rogers of Edgefield Dist. SC. Daniel Rogers b.24 Aug.1760 d.23 Sept.1843 was married to Lucretia (Harris?) b. 6 Sept.1765 SC. They had 14 children, one of whom was Felix Rogers b.29 Feb.1803. If this is the correct Rogers family, I am searching for any records on Felix's brother's line who is Daniel Rogers (III)b. 20 Jan.1796 and married Nancy King Stallworth. I need documentation of the children of Daniel Rogers and Nancy King Stallworth. They had 8 children that I know of:William, Daniel D., James R., Augustus, Lucretia, Jane, Sarah, and Ophelia. I am the g-granddaughter of James R. Rogers and Sarah Ann Gary. Any information on the Rogers families would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This is the same ROGERS line. Felix and Daniel III were brothers. I have lots of info for you and can put you in touch with someone who just wrote a great book on your Daniel ROGERS/RODGERS, III, line.

I continue to search for Cassandra's family and their history. Capt. Daniel PARKINS, b 1758, came fr Winchester, VA, as a young man with a brother/s. Capt. Daniel has a fine history in the History of Newberry District. He was a Quaker but seemed to not be a practicing one at times, as he was at odds with the Friends. He md. Jane Carradine, and had a umber of sons. In abt 1802, an epidemic took a son, later that week, another son, & his wife. He died the next day. All were buried in the Parkins Cemetery, 7 mi SW of Newberry (where is this location?)
Just before dying, Capt. Daniel Parkins sent a legacy to his nephew, Daniel Parkins. None of his own sons were married, but a Parkins md. Mary Peterson, dau of Thomas & Abigail Richardson Peterson. The children Cassandra, Elizabeth, Milton, and Sutley are named as heirs in Thos' will. I find further that Daniel & Mary, the parents, died 1815. Cassandra & husband took in her brother Milton's children and raised them after the CivilWar. They had moved toPickens County in the 1820-1830s.
