Although my maiden name was spelled father is the only one who spelled the name that way with an "i" instead of an "e"...I was told that this was the result of a mistake on his birth certificate that was never corrected...however, his father's name was Jasper R. Heldreth who was born near Shinnston, WV in 1891...Jasper was married to Daisy Ashcraft...they had two children, my father, Dennis, and a daughter, aunt, Deloris, researched the Heldreth family many years ago but the information was lost...I am now trying to find out the nationality of the surname Heldreth...I was of the opinion from what my aunt told me that the name was of Scottish origin...but that, over time the spelling was changed several times..if anyone knows of the nationality and origin of the surname Heldreth...please contact me at my e-mail

I have been tracing my fathers roots. Hildreth was the original name dating back to England. My father is Everett C Heldreth, son of Frederick and Zora Heldreth. I would also like to know more if you care to get in touch.

My name is Linda Irene Heldreth, my father was Holbert Harrison Heldreth and he grew up in the Lumberton and Clarksburg, W. Va. He had a sister Eleanor and a brother Walter. Have you ever heard of any of these names. There mother was Manila Wadsworth Heldreth.
