Linda -

This year the Town Of Ainsworth of Langlade County is celebrating their centennial. In
conjunction with the celebration they have published a calendar that has various themes
and pictures for each month. On one of the months (June) they have a photo of your
Blaine Skidmore pulling a “cat” and smoothing out the road in front of one of the older
homes of the community. Let me know if you’d like a copy. I’m going to try to get
copies of some of the other photo’s and can scan one for you if you’d like

According to a Skidmore relative, that lives in Wisconsin, James Blaine Skidmore and his siblings used their middle names. Curtis was married to a Laura Thorn. He went by his middle name of Burnam. He was born in 1891. They also had a brother Algar. Don't know if this will help. How are you connected to the Skidmores?

I found info about Blaine Skidmore. Have you looked at On the Skidmore forum there is a person, Wm. Frank Skidmore that has this family back to 1550! James Blaine's brother , Curtis Burnam Skidmore, was my Great Uncle. I remember him well. I even might have a picture of him somewhere. Good Luck. Let me know if you find the man on genforum.
