I am new to I have registered but not yet joined. I will do so if it looks like I may be able to locate the information I am looking for.

My mother grew up in Princeton, NJ, where her father was a friend of Albert Einstein. There is a rumor in the family that Dr. Einstein asked my grandfather to sign immigration papers vouching for Dr. Einstein's family (wife and children) when them came over from Europe. I don't know if it is true, but would love to find copies of their immigration papers to find out.

Is there a chance that Dr. Einstein's family's immigration documents would be available? If so, how could I locate and view them?

Thank you.

There are witnesses who sign citizenship papers, vouching for the reputation of the petitioner and confirming that he has resided in the US for at least 5 years. You can search out Einstein's naturalization documents, probably in the National Archives in New York. I don't believe N.J. has a NARA branch
He was naturalized in a New Jersey court.
