Hi Gary
Thanks for your reply.
Owen Greenan was married to a Bridget Fitzpatrick on in 1876, Greenock, Scotland.

His parents were Bernard Greenan and Mary Greenan ms Smith.

Owen Greenan died in Glasgow in 1899. On the death certificate, it states that he was previously married to a Rose Anne Fitzpatrick. I believe they had a child called Catherine.

I can omly assume that Rose Anne died and that Owen married her sister Bridget to help bring up the daughter Catherine.

There is a death of a rose Anne Greenan registered in Antrim in 1875. Born in 1853 and died at the age of 22 years. This would fit nicely. But only a copy of the death cert. would reveal the true information.

Owen and Bridget Greenan settled in Glasgow, Scotland and had 3/4 daughters and a son Charles Joseph McConnell Greenan born in 1890.

Can you make a connection?

Hi Larry
My Owen Greenan is a different person. He settled in Scotland.
But it is possible that they are named after the same relative and could be related.
Do you know what part of Ireland your Owen Greenan comes from.

Hello Ronnie

I don't know. Actually the family thinks our Greenans came from Scotland. So I'm at a dead end for now.

Hi Larry

My Owen Greenan married Rose-Anne Fitzpatrick in 1870 in Belfast and then moved to Glasgow, Scotland. They had a daughter, Mary born in 1871, thwt died the same year.
They had another daughter, Catherine, born 1874.
Rose-anne Greenan died at the age of 22 years in 1875.Owen greenan married her sister - Bridget Fitzpatrick in 1876 to help bring up Catherine.
Owen and Bridget had three daughters and one son: Anne, Jean, Mary and Charles.

His parents were Bernard Greenan and Mary Smith. I've no idea where they originate from in Ireland.

I have recently recieved a Griffiths valuation report for county monaghan 1840. While your Owen or Bernard had left by then, there are a couple of Owen and Hugh Greenans listed.
I willl look out the info and forward it.
