Does anyone have information regarding my family member, Dr. Robert H. Trusdle (Trusdale) and his wife Hannah ("Hattie") Bryning? Dr. T. was a physician and surgeon who practiced at Sterling and Morrison, IL, prob. 1870-1879. An infant daughter, Gertrude, may have been born and died there in 1875. Mrs. Trusdle's brother, Samuel Bryning, was also a physician and may have been associated with Dr. Trusdle. Dr. Bryning lived at Fulton, IL, at one time. I would welcome any information at all on these people.

Thank you for your response to my inquiry regarding the family of Dr. Robert H. Trusdle in Whiteside Co, IL. I have since learned that they came to Morrison between 1870 and left by 1880, relocating at Kirwin, KS. An infant daughter, Gertrude, was buried at Morrison in 1875.

Yvonne,

I find Samuel Bryning and family in both the 1870 and 1880 census in Fulton, but no Trusdale (or Trusdle) in either one. Since there was a lot of interaction between Fulton and Clinton, Iowa across the river...I would be inclined to check the Iowa census for them...just a hunch.

I have some knowledge of the Dr. Trusdle family, if you are still searching. It's been a long time since your inquiry.
I believe the family was personal friends & neighbors with some of my ancestors.
