I'd be glad to hear from anyone anyone able to trace their roots back to the 1800's to the Hunters living in Glentore, near Greengairs or their family before that.

I will follow this up with my tree so far.

my daughter-in law was born and bred in greengairs. her father is Matt Cleland and he is researching his family who lived in greengairs back in the 1800's. He has an old cine film of village life and his mother and other relatives are in the film.

Hi
My mother grew up in Greengairs, her maiden name is Beattie, the Beatties owned the coal mines in the area. I am most interested in the cine film. Has he ever had it transferred to DVD? if so I would be very interested in a copy.
When was it made?
My mother is well in her eighties now she lived in Greengairs from 1927 until 1953.Im sure if it was made during her time there she would know many of the people.
