If you were born a Riffle then you are related to the other Riffles. Most of the Riffles early days had large families and there was a lot of boys from each of the families. My uncle Ivan Riffle had 12 boys I
dont know if he had any girls or not. A lot of the Riffles were Walter's, Wetzels, Bill, William, Daniel, Charles. Tracking down relatives is a dificult job but it is exciting to find your tree keep getting bigger. My Father Walter Wetzel Riffle was the son of Charles William Riffle. Any relatives here.

My mother was born a Riffle and her father's name was George Riffle. He was born in PA and relocated in WI where he lived until his death. Are any of your relatives from PA?

Surnames: Riffle, Reihl, Riddelmoser, Cowan, Harvey, Wilson
The Riffle's came from Switzerland. Below the Matterhorn there is an Riffle Alp and the town of Riffleburg.

When did the Riffle's first come to the United States. Some research indicates that they came from Germany area and moved to various locations. One location may have been Swiss area. Does anyone know If the Riffle's moved from Germany to the Swiss area if so how far back can anyone show a date. The oldest information I found was 1745 when a Riffle came to the United states. Anyone have any information older then this and where did they arrive in the United States.
A lot of the Riffles were located in PA and Ohio. I am looking to find information on the first Riffle's arrival in the United States, the year and what ship did he or she arrive on and where was the arrival point. (P.S. to the person responding to my last message, your name sound very familiar, are you a PA. Riffle) thanks for your response. I will also rersearch to find out how old the town is in good old Swiss country.
