Have confirmed my g-grandfather was William M. DAVIS b in MO in 1869. Wife, Ida E. MCHENRY b 1870 in KY or Ind. Married 1895, place unknown. Have documented them in OK from 1897 to 1938. Need to determine the line William M. DAVIS came from. Have a Monroe DAVIS living with this William in 1917. A brother maybe? Wm & Ida had 2 children; Blanche DAVIS, dates unknown. And a son, Harry Monroe DAVIS b 1-3-1897 in OK.
Harry's son (my father) was born in OK 3-6-1920 in Wm & Ida DAVIS house. He was named Merle Armond DAVIS.
Grateful for crumbs and Happy to share!

Saw your posting. I am a decendent of Annanias Davis and Viola Mchenry. However they are from Dermott Arkansas. May have lived other places as children but I don't Know. Just thought it was an interesting simularity.

Don't have much information, but my grandmother was Blanche Davis, born sometime around 1898-1902 in Canada. She and my grandfather, Amos Norton (of Potton Quebec) lived in Long Island City, Queens County, NY in 1932 where my father Amos Elroy Norton was born. According to his birth certificate, she had four other children, three of them living. That's all I have on her. I'm afraid it's a weak chain in my search so far.

My great-grandfather was Jim Davis. He was married to a woman named Carolyn and then to my great-grandmother. Her name was Sude or Suda we think. This was in Buffalo,KYor Hogenville KY. This would have been in the 1800's. They are all buried in a cemetary in Buffalo,KY. I live in IL where my grandmother,Sarah Davis and my grandfather,William Shipp lived. Please help me with any information and I will be glad to pass on any I have.

Update to my above msg: William M. DAVIS was the son of Monroe DAVIS.

Wm's wife was Ida E. (McHenry) b 1870, we beleive in Kentucky. Searching now for her parents. They were either in KY or IN in 1870 at the time of Ida's birth.

Another ironic McHenry connection....The above Monroe DAVIS was married to Sarah McHenry DAVIS...places remain unknown.

This means that William M. DAVIS had a mother with the maiden name McHenry, and then he married Ida, also with the maiden name McHenry...They are gonna make us work!

Blanche Davis was born approx. 1907; possibly the daughter of George E. and Ellen (Aitken) Davis of Potton Quebec.

Amos Norton has been traced from birth in 1897 (Newport, VT) to son's birth in 1932 (Long Island City, NY) to Social Security Card Application in 1936 (West Springfield, MA) to death in February 1970 (Springfield, MA).

Would be nice to fill in the details!
Any help would be greatly welcomed and appreciated!!!!
