As far as I know, no one has any info on Olivier's parents... we don't even have his marriage records... we know he had to marry in Acadia because his wife was born there and we know he probably marry around 1666 because the approximate birth for his first child is 1667.

How and why does the names go back and forth from daigre to daigle. My name is Brian daigre from tha bay area in california. My grandfather is donald daigre and my father is william owen daigre. My great grandmother was rita, i,ve been looking in most of these posted boards and there is not much on my family to every one elses. If you can help me to connect with are history that would be great.

I was told in my past searches a few years ago that it was just a mispelling when some of our ancestors arrived at Parris Island. The Daigle's and Daigre's are believed to be related.

It is the same family... the difference come from pronounciation deformation... as far as I know Daigre seems to be the original version of the name...
