JOHN CASWELL married ELIZABETH THOMAS in Hardin Co. Kentucky on August 2, 1811. It is believed that they later moved over to Hart Co. I am looking for information on the families of both CASWELL and THOMAS. Have some information to share.

Greetings. Elizabeth's parents were also married in Hardin County. Her brother was my ggg-grandfather, James V. Thomas. She also had a brother, William. Their parents were James Thomas and Rebecca Logsdon. James was a RevWar veteran. James, Rebecca, and the two boys(who had both married in Kentucky and started families) moved to Menard County Illinois in 1831 where James died in 1833. He was 20 years Rebecca's senior. I am just now trying to track the Caswell side of the family as well as the Logsdons. From Rebecca's pension records, she evidently made at least three trips to Hart/Hardin Counties after James's death(between 1833 and at least 1842).

I am trying to locate information on my g-g-grandfather and his family. His name was Isaac Richard (or poss. Isaac Richardson) Thomas, born in Hardin County KY around 1842. I found an LDS record that his father was James Thomas. I found your post and some dialogue on James Thomas and Rebecca Logsdon. Would like to know what information you have on their children/grandchildren to see if it is possible my Isaac is related.
