I am not a relative of Fannie Branson but lived in Agate Beach as a child and liked to visit her and watch her carve horse figures out of balsa wood.

My mother, who is 93, has two of Fannie Branson horses which she purchased in Agate Beach when they lived there in the 50's.

I also have a Fannie Branson horse that my father purchased in the early 50's. Does anyone have more info on how many of these exist and what the value might be?

would you be able to lead me to anyone who might know more about this lady and her horses.
I inherited one from my Papa and have found her name and agate beach or embossed under the stirrup flap.
I have googled her in every way i could to gain information and there is only 1 article in the 1946 Popular mechanics mag.
I am baffled.
thanks, susan

The Lincoln County Historical Society in Newport, Oregon has a collection of her horses. I have seen them in Newport's museum along with photos of her. That would be your best bet I know of to get information about them. Good luck. Agate Beach is now a part of the City of Newport.
