I am searching for more information on my Clonoulty ancestors. What I have so far is ,In Milltown ,Clonoulty Johanna Ryan (dau of John and Mary Ryan) married Thomas Quinn( son of John and Catherine Ryan Quinn). the marriage was in Jan of 1831, Their first child ,Mary ,was born in Dec. of 1831. Son John was born in 1833 and daughter Hannora was born in 1836.This family immigrated shortly after the birth of Hannora, initially settling in Troy ,New York. The first born ,Mary did not immigrate with them ,possibly deceased prior to 1836.This family lived in Clogher,Clonoulty Co Tipperary, after the marriage,as this is listed as the place the children were born.
This family had two more children in Troy New York ,Dennis and Thomas Jr.They then relocated to Weymouth Ma. where they had Jerimiah ,James and Mary.

Looking for any Ryan/Quinn Connections to this family in either Co Tipperary or Massachusetts.

My grandfather John Joseph Ryan was born November 18, 1901 in Tipperary. His mother's name was Mary Keane Ryan. He came over on the vessel of Baltic in 1925. They lived in Scotia, New York about 10 miles from Troy. Any connections?

Hi, Just came accross your posting, even though its 1999,thought I,d give it a go. My ancestors were Patrick Quinn and wife Mary Anne Ryan born c1830 in Tipperary. I see a Mary Ryan did not emigrate with rest of family. Maybe its my Mary Ryan, they came to Australia 1858. What do you think? Are you still researching.? Anne.

Good day, I read your post on Quinn/Ryan connection. I am unsure too if we are connected through this family line but here's go's. My g/mother was Mary Ann Dolan Ryan b/1864 (Her husband was Michael Ryan b/1833 my g/father) her mother was Cathrine Quinn born in 1835 maybe????, her husband was Patrick Dolan my GG/grand parents. I know Cathrine was born in Ireland some where so my hope to you may be the link what do you think. I have no further information on the Quinn family connection like who Cathrine mother and father were so this may be the link there. I do know for a fact that she sailed over to the USA on the Issic Webb from Ireland county Galway to the port of New York.
