Hi everyone,

I wanted to reply to this thread because I am a descendant of Nathaniel Bradley by his second wife, Jane Murphy Wilson. Their daughter Mary Jane married Richard Tackaberry of Lions Head, Ont.

I have recently discovered that Nathaniel's first wife was actually Elizabeth PERRIN, not PARENT. I think PARENT is simply a mis-transcription or Anglicization of PERRIN.

I am also thinking that Nathaniel Bradley actually came from Co. Wexford, Ireland. I am still not certain that Samuel BRADLEY of Kincardine was his brother, but I do think they were related. I know that the Kincardine history book says they were brothers, but those books were not often well-sourced and tended to have errors or be written from mere hearsay.

There is a record here for the 1834 marriage of Nathaniel BRADLEY to Elizabeth PERRIN by license in Newton Barry, (aka Bunclody), Co. Wexford, Ireland:

The record states that Nathaniel is of Tullamore and Elizabeth is of Newton Barry.

There is an 1815 baptism for Elizabeth PERRIN that fits with the estimated 1816 baptism for Nathaniel Bradley's wife. The parents are William and Sarah.

Some of Nathaniel and Elizabeth's grandchildren had the middle name "PERN" which fits as another spelling or pronunciation of PERRIN.

I wanted to share this new information with all of my Bradley cousins because it doesn't seem that anyone else has discovered this marriage yet.
