Thomas Keeler was a farm hand working for Isaac and Asenath Bosworth in Illinois (the Bosworths were from Mass.) He traveled with them to Minnesota and married their daughter Martha.

Warren Keeler 82 died in Bismarck, ND on Feb 18, 2007. He was born March 3, 1924 to Warren & Gunda (Gertie Newland) in Driscoll, ND. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Lillian, Martha, Ruth and 2 brothers, Donald and Herbert. Surviving brothers are Howard of Bismarck, ND and Ira of Helena, Montana. Children include sons- Thomas, Wayne, Pat, Miles, Lee, daughters include Kathleen and Cindy. We are the children of Ruth. Kentucky is our home.

My Wife is the daughter of Carold Keeler and Marilynn Rovang, son of Ira Keeler and Violet Orrock - Warren Sr's brother, sons of Thomas Keeler and Martha Bosworth, son of Thomas Keeler (1811-1874) and Catherine Hill, son of Elisha Keeler (1784-1850) and Lydia Brown, son of Thomas Keeler (1752-1827) and Electa Allen, and on back to Ralph Keeler. We currently live in Golden Valley, Minnesota.
Carold just fell and broke his hip and is in recovery from a partial hip replacement.

You have an immense family background for the Keeler's .. The names of "Thomas, Ira, Warren, Ralph, & Martha" seem to have passed down to their children and grand children. Do you know the names of all the children that Warren Sr & Martha Bosworth had? Is Carold in his 80"s now? I have figured him as my great-great uncle. Do you have contact with my uncle's Ira in Montana or Howard in Bismarck? This is very exciting for me. What is the national origin of the Keeler's? What country did they immigrate from? Gunda was Norwegian and Finnish. Thank you for responding. :-)

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother, Betty (Potts) Keeler, 80, Bismarck, was called home to be with our beloved Savior April 10, 2007, at a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 13, at Church of Christ, Mandan, with the Rev. Kirk Hinnergardt officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Steele.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Betty was born April 1, 1927, in Bismarck. She was the first incubator baby in the Bismarck Hospital. She was raised by Alfred and Caroline (Pinks) Potts, on the farm in the Steele area.

Betty married Warren Keeler Feb. 7, 1949, in Bismarck. Betty and Warren were married for 58 years and raised seven children, two daughters and five sons. Betty was a devoted mother, which kept her busy raising the family. She was a very strong lady, who enjoyed the simpler things in life like gardening, whether it was a flower or vegetable garden. She also enjoyed baking and canning. Betty so loved and greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by five sons, Tom (Myra), Wayne (Sharon), Pat (Lillian), Miles (Connie) and Lee (LaVora), all of Bismarck; two daughters, Kathy (Randy) Movchan, South Heart, and Cindy (Ron) Rehbein, Sidney, Mont.; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Caroline Potts; her husband, Warren; her sisters, Mildred and Mary; her brother, Edward; and an infant brother.
