The death date of the 'un-named' one is Aug. 24, 1963. Must be the one you are looking for.

Carol, thanks very much. The "unamed" GLENN is my grandfather Kenneth.I have his obit. The 49 year old Kenneth buried with Francis was grandpa's son. According to your info they died only 2 weeks apart. Maybe an auto accident? I sure would like his/their obits. You can contact me at anitahurst11@hotmail.com. I do appreciate your help. Anita

I am seeking information on the cemetery location and if there is a stone for Frederick (Fred) Baker who died on March 17, 1919 and was buried on March 20, 1919. He is my great great grandfather. You can reach me at baker9@cox.net. He was separated from his wife and she died later in Omaha, Nebraska. Would you know how I might find this infromation?

Mr. Baker is buried in Grave 2, Block 25 of Highland Cemetery in Casper. The burial card gives the same death and burial dates as you have, and his age as 58 years, 11 months, although the cemetery records published by the Natrona County Genealogical Society give his age as 57 years. The burial card also says "Deed # 318 to Shaffer Gay for Block 25." There is no stone. If you'd like a copy of the burial card, email your address to me directly. Hope this helps!

This is in response to your query about descendants of Emmett M. Glenn.
Emmett was my father. I have been searching for clues to his family for a long time. This is the first hit that I've ever gotten. I remember my mother telling me that my grandfather was an editor for the Herald Tribune for a while so I tried linking his name with Tribune and was thrilled to get your query. I hope that you respond.
Emmett had 3 children with my mother before divorcing in the early 1950s; he then remarried and as far as I know, had three more children with his second wife.
I have never met any of my relatives from the Glenn side of the family. I spoke once to his mother before her death. I was getting married soon and I don't know how the call was initiated but I was grateful for the call. Someone on the Glenn side finished a crocheted spread that my grandmother had started and sent it to me as a wedding gift. It is one of my most beloved possessions. The links to the Glenn side are slim and I cherish the few that we have.
My brother lived in Wyoming in Lance Creek for 5 years so he has more memories than I have and traveled to California many years ago to see Uncle Skee I believe.
Emmett has 8 grandchildren on this branch of the family tree; one named Glenn; 2 with Glenn as a middle name; and one grandson who is the spitting image of his grandfather; and 6 great grandchildren.
I do not know about grandchildren from his second marriage.

I hope you are still checking this hotmail account, I would love to here from you and I know my sister would also.

Patricia! Are you daughter of Emmett Melton Glenn, b. 1919 and Edna Ernst? (sister Dorothy, brother Donald?) I've been searching for a descendent of Grandfather Kenneth Wiltshire Glenn's "American" family for 4 years! I'm grandchild of KWG from his second wife in France. My parents & I emmigrated from France to CA. in 1955.

Anita,

Yes, I am. How did you know that?

I am so thrilled to hear from you. My brother Donald was born in 1943 and is retired, my sister Dorothy in 1946 and is a nurse and myself in 1948 - a librarian and editorial assistant at a local newspaper.
I know my father's second family also had three children, 2 daughters and a son. One daughter is named Carrie, a school administrator, a son Emmett Jr. who is a teacher and I can't remember the other daughter's name...but it would not be hard to find. Their Mom passed away a few years ago as did mine. I can find their mother's obituary if you do not have it.

Please fill me in on all the details of everything!!!!!!!!!!

Please tell me about yourself! Are you an only child, are you still in California. I believe all my father's brothers are now deceased.

I remember my mother telling me that Kenneth worked for the Tribune in Washington, D.C and was sent to Paris to work for the Tribune.

My father's side of the family has always been somewhat of a mystery to us...and for me it feels like a big chunk of my life is missing...

As an aside....my mother and father's wedding day was Nov. 11...just a day away...

If you need copies of my father's obituary or his second wife or my Mom, just let me know, I have worked at the newspaper for over 20 years, most of those years as a librarian.

I hope to hear from you soon.
