I understand that the Pauley family of Myrtlewood, Alabama originated from some place in South Carolina. Supposedly, there were two brothers whose last name was Poellnitz, however, one brother changed his name to Pauley. If you have information on this storyline, please share the relation, if any.

My father's mother was a Poellnitz. I have a book, "Little Acorns from the Mighty Oak". This book is a history of the Poellnitz family. There are many marriages between the families that you are looking for. Give me the names of some individuals and will see what I can find.

Marengo Co. AL - I have found in the Rembert Cemetery list a Lizzie Poellnitz Thomas that was the wife of M.S. Thomas. If the M.S. is the Michael Stratford Thomas also buried in Rembert there might be a connection to my Thomas family. Several other Thomas' in Rembert Cemetery are part of a line that includes Stratfords. When I am able to visit Rembert Cemetery, I will be interested to find the location of everyone to each other. I have not connected everyone together yet.

Could you please look up on page 12O, onwards, and give me the connection of Col. Ben Rogers to Baron Poellnitz? I only have a portion of the book, from page 189 forward, and would like to pursue antecedents of Col. Ben Rogers. Specifically looking for Nicholas Rogers, the father or grandfather of Col. Ben. Thanks for your time!
