My Grandmother's maiden name is Foot, which is from an indian heritage. She married Giles
D. Jewett, both still living. They have 10
children. My Grandmother's name is Evelyn, I do know one of her sisters were named Anabel,
who has died, but was married to a Carlton
Britch. Anyone know any more info? I'd like to hear from you.

My great grandmother's maiden name is Foot(e) and was supposed to be Cherokee. Her name was Elmira or Almira Clanevia (something like that middle name) Foot whose father is Elijah Foote and mom is Mary Ann Wilson from Kentucky. At least, that is where Elijah and Mary Ann got married. Elmira was born in Fulton County, Illinois in 1848. I've seen pictures of some of Elmira's children and there is a definite NA look. I have been searching and searching and do not find Foot or Foote as NA. I have found Foot spelled as Fout and there are NA names of Fout.

Have you found anything further on this?
