Hi, I have been told that my great great uncle, Conrad Steinert was buried in Rimbey and he was buried in the only cemetery in town.

Conrad Steinert
Death 1 JUL 1944 • Rimbey, Alberta, Canada.
I tried to contact the cemetery office and was told he wasn't on Find A Grave?? Does someone know what cemetery was there in 1944 and where can I obtain a cemetery list to see where he is buried?? Thank you so much for any help.
Mary

Hi, Find a Grave - will not show all deaths/ burials at a Cemetery
All depends on persons - submitting the information - or volunteers - transcribing information found on Cemetery Grounds. It will not show burials where there is no headstone/ monument.

Cemetery Office Records - Will have All Burials for that particular cemetery.
Funeral Home - for the location - will have taken all personal information as required for the Registration of Death - They will know the name of the Cemetery - Who made arrangements - paid for same etc. If there was an Obituary published.
Public Library - for the location - May hold newspapers in their collection - can be searched for Obituary. which will show where service was to be held - name of Cemetery.

Registration of Death - from Govt of Alberta - Vital Statistics Dept or Provincial Archive

Birth, marriage and death records are called Vital Statistics.
