Believe these are our Davenports. My mother in laws' mother was a Davenport, her name was E. Rosetta (etta) Davenport Millsap. She d in 1934. She still has a sis whom I believe is still living, named Ethel. She is in a nursing home in Dalton, GA. The Davenports mostly settled in Dalton, GA Blueridge, GA which is at the foothills of the Blueridge Mountains. This may help also, many of the Davenports married Millsap The all live in the same area. A few of the Davenports settled in Bartow Co GA...there should be burial information on them and also in Dalton Bluerige. Believe there is a church in Bluerige that has Davenport Family plot. If you could do some research, you may be able to find out. Davenport is like "smith" in Blueridge. Hope this helps.

You are right, the Davenports are every where in Blueridge. There is a Davenport
cemetery that my GGgrandfather started for the family. It is now the Cemetery of the
New Antioch Baptist Church. The Ozion Baptist Church Cemetery in Blueridge, Ga. is
full of the Davenport family. My Grandparents are buried there. The libary there
has alot of info also. The Davenport family can be found all over the country. They go
all the way back to Va. with Davis Davenport in the 1600.

Yes, this would be them!!! So, you and my husband are second cousins--from what I gather. My motherinlaw was Grace Millsap Boston. She died October 1997. I just came across a photo of all the kids of the named that was taken at one of the last family reunions that we went to in Dalton. I dont have names though with faces, but it is an entire group of "the kids".

Thanks for the information. My daughter and I are gathering this so she will have this information on hand for later years. I didn't realize that Etta had sooo many siblings.

Thanks. Donna
