I am decended from Stephen Hunter b. 1830 who married Helen Lindsay in 1855.and had 8 children Marion, Alexander,Jean William, Stephen, Jean, Helen, Margaret

I just wondered if you had any response to your request for information on the Hunters of Capelrig. I too am descended from these Hunters and I am struggling to connect them to the famous medical Hunter brothers. I would be grateful for any information relating to the Hunters or Capelrig farm. I too am descended from James Hunter & Margaret Wilson who married 27 Nov. 1784 at Stonebyres Farm, East Kilbride, Lanark, Scotland.
