Your response to my inquiry concerning Ebineezer Purvis, on the Hillsborough mailing list is welcomed, even though I'm just beginning to recognize names of the older members. His father was Jeptha married to Cassandra Bonnell about 1827 somewhere in Ga. In the 1850 Emanuel,Ga. Federal Census Indexed File. It shows them living in Ga. Jeptha and Katherine Purvis, the children listed are ,Adison, Andrew,Ann, Betty,Ebenezer, Elizabeth,Hanner, Hilliard,Jourdain{Jordan} Loven {my husbands grandfather} Mary,Obadiah,William. I am presently in the process of trying to gather any and all the info. that I can on all members of this family. I do hope that some of this may be of some help to you. If you have any info on any of these people I would love to have it. Please keep me informed. thanks....Belle..

The Ebenezer in our family was born somewhere between 1836 and 1843 - June 10th. It has been listed in our family records that our Ebenezer was retarded. I have no information on him as to a death date, whether married or not, etc. How reliable this information is, I don't know. He could have moved away to another state, or died young, or never married if he was indeed "retarded" as they listed things in those days. I would like to know what became of him. He was the son of Jeptha Purvis and Cassie Bonnell.

Dear Mr. Henderson, I am most interested in the information you have on Elizabeth Purvis and Richard Odom. I do have a definite connection with these people. I believe my gg grandmother, Martha Ann Purvis was a grand-daughter to Elizabeth. I believe that Elizabeth was married to a James Purvis before she married Richard Odom. The information that I have is very limited . I would so appreciated ANY information about these two people and related family members. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Mary B. Woodall
