I joined tgis site and am posting because I found an old cemetery on a farm I recently purchased. It is Holley family from 1850 -1876 as far as the marked headstones. There are many unmarked except by smooth stones. I found at least 7 today. I have found nothing in the Franlin Co. IN cemetery guides. It is located 1/2 east of Buena Vista In. In Franklin Co. IN. I am going to try to get more information but at the present time I put cattle fence around it and am going back to take the leaves and clean the sticks off of the graves. If you have any information it would be greatly appreciated. A 90 yr old women at the local church said it was thought to be a free slave cemetary, 1 man was 77 yrs old in 1876 when he passed. God bless

Hi,

Sometimes local genealogical and historical societies "keep track" of old, abandoned cemeteries. I'd contact the following. Even if they don't know anything about it, they'll be glad to find out about it.
